Description:
This workshop will focus on using DIVA for Rhino to visualize environmental analysis data. Participants will run simulations that will illustrate how optimally their projects perform within a specific location on earth through the use of solar radiation analysis. Emphasis will be placed on programatic and environmental performance, resulting in responsive/intelligent geometry and building envelopes.
DIVA-for-Rhino is a highly optimized daylighting and energy modeling plug-in for Rhinoceros. DIVA-for-Rhino allows users to carry out a series of environmental performance evaluations of individual buildings and urban landscapes including Radiation Maps, Climate-Based Daylighting Metrics, Glare Analysis, and Daylighting Compliance.
Requirements: Participants must bring a laptop with the following software installed prior to the workshop:
