Interactive Structural Design in Grasshopper

Location: HHS 111
Date + Time: Sun, 2017.03.26, 12-3pm

Description: This workshop will serve as an introduction to performance-driven structural design using Karamba, a structural analysis plugin for Grasshopper. The exercises will demonstrate how to properly model structural systems for accurate analysis, and how to use high level analysis feedback to drive the design process. The content will progress from simple beam analysis, onto single structural bay and long span roof truss examples, and will conclude with a structural design space navigation using Colibri and Design Explorer.

Requirements: Participants are required to bring a laptop with Rhino 5.0 installed on their laptops and download and install the latest version of Grasshopper and following software.
